Modern construction requires speed and precision. Our vacuum lifters are engineered to handle heavy sandwich panels (roof & wall) up to 16 meters long. We replace manual labor with smart automation, reducing installation time by up to 40%. The flagship DS 550 series weighs only 100 kg, making it the most versatile and lightweight solution in its class.
A vacuum lifter (also known as a panel manipulator or cladding lifter) is a specialized crane attachment designed to grip, lift, and position heavy construction elements using negative pressure technology. Unlike traditional methods using slings or physical labor, a vacuum lifter creates an instant, non-damaging seal against the panel's surface.
Our DS 550 Series is engineered specifically for the composite cladding industry. It acts as the "hands" of your crane, allowing a single operator to manipulate massive wall and roof sheets (up to 16 meters long) that would otherwise require a crew of 4-6 people.
The device utilizes a high-performance vacuum pump powered by a heavy-duty battery (12h operation). When the 8 suction pads contact the panel surface—whether it is smooth PIR/PUR foam or porous Mineral Wool—the system evacuates the air to create a powerful vacuum grip.
The rubber seals are designed to handle delicate coatings without scratching or bending the metal skin.
The DS 550 is a marvel of engineering. With a self-weight of only 100 kg, it can safely lift 600 kg. This is crucial for smaller on-site cranes where every kilogram counts.
Manual lifting of sandwich panels is widely considered inefficient and dangerous. By implementing the DS 550 vacuum system, you achieve three critical goals:
Radio-controlled suction and release significantly reduce cycle times. You can install hundreds of square meters per shift.
You eliminate the risk of back injuries and comply with strict manual handling regulations. The operator stays safely on the ground.
The device allows for millimeter-perfect positioning of tongue-and-groove joints, ensuring a watertight facade seal.
In stock. Available for immediate shipping.
Reduce installation time by up to 40%. One machine replaces the physical effort of 4-6 workers, allowing for continuous operation without fatigue.
Eliminate scratches, dents, and bending of long panels. Soft, durable suction seals protect delicate coatings and surfaces during lifting.
Fully compliant with EN 13155 standards. Features audio-visual alarms and a redundant vacuum reservoir that holds load even in power failure.
One device for multiple tasks. Modular extensions allow switching from short 4m wall panels to massive 16m roof sheets in minutes.
At the core of every DS System lifter is a robust, battery-powered vacuum unit. We utilize high-capacity pumps capable of generating suction on both smooth and porous surfaces (including micro-profiled panels).

Specialized equipment for every installation scenario

Selecting the correct lifting equipment depends on three critical variables: material core, panel length, and installation orientation.
Standard vacuum pads work perfectly on airtight materials like PIR/PUR foam sandwich panels. However, for mineral wool (rockwool) panels or perforated sheets, you need specialized suction pads with a higher flow rate and distinct sealing rubber to compensate for air leakage. Our DS System lifters are compatible with both, thanks to interchangeable pad technology.
Long roof sheets (over 12m) are prone to bending and breaking under their own weight. It is crucial to use a lifter with a modular traverse beam. By spreading the suction pads to the outer edges (min. 4-meter spread), you stabilize the load and prevent structural damage during the lift.
In the European Union, lifting equipment must adhere to the EN 13155 standard. This regulation requires a secondary safety measure to prevent load drops, which can be achieved either through mechanical restraints, such as safety straps, or a redundant multi-circuit vacuum system.
DS System provides a superior solution for efficiency and safety. Our Dual-Circuit Technology features two completely independent vacuum systems (System A and System B). Each circuit is engineered to hold the load independently with a 200% safety factor, eliminating the need for cumbersome manual safety straps during operation.
